Details of out next driving course can be viewed on the NEXT COURSE page of this website.

DriveCheck and RideCheck

This is an alternative way drivers or rider can have their on the road abilities assessed. It takes about an hour comprising an initial introduction (document check etc.), followed by a 40 minute drive/ride with a Senior Observer who has been examined by the IAM Staff Examiner (Scotland), followed by a feedback session, at which the candidate will be presented with a written feedback form. This “Check” is not a test, there’s no pass or fail and you will have a one-to-one feedback session with the Senior Observer who will be able to offer advice and recommendations to improve your skills. You will also receive a copy of the Observer’s report. “DriveCheck” or “RideCheck” costs £25 and can be arranged by contacting the Moray Group via the CONTACT US page of this website.

DriveCheck55

This is a short driving assessment specifically designed for the older driver and is carried out by a qualified IAM examiner. Applicants will be contacted by a qualified examiner who will in turn arrange a mutually convenient time for the assessment to take place. It takes about an hour comprising an initial introduction (document check etc.), followed by a 45 minute drive with a qualified examiner, followed by a feedback session, at which the candidate will be presented with a written feedback form. “DriveCheck55” costs £35 and can be obtained through Membership Services at IAM House (Tel: 020 8996 9600), or (www.iam.org.uk) website.
