| The Moray Group

The group meets on Tuesdays at Elgin Library. (see schedule
for dates). On the Saturday following the Group Meetings, there is an opportunity
to go for practical drives with an IAM observer in and around Elgin. The group
meets up in Currys car park on Edgar Road at around 10am. Practical drives usually
go on for around 45-60 minutes. In addition to the regular activities, the group
also takes part in IAM competitions and organises other driving activities in
the area. Full details of these are available from the group Secretary.
Costs of joining the Group
When you sign up with the Group your Associate fee is split into:
- The Moray Group Associate membership
- The IAM test fee
- Your first years membership of the IAM (conditional on passing the Test)
- The PYADT book and a current copy of the Highway Code
Simple enough so far - now, the associate fee lasts for ONE
complete year from enrolment. Please note that it is not just for the course
you joined, so you are welcome to attend the second lecture and driving course
for that year, even if you passed the Test, it is beneficial to sit in on a
second set of lectures to more fully absorb the information that came at you
in the lectures.
Your associate membership also means that you can take part in any
Group activity or event i.e. Fun Runs, quizzes, mettings visits or anything
else we organise. So please make sure you get full value for your money and
come to all you can. Last but not least ENJOY YOURSELF, we do try our best to
make Advanced Motoring enjoyable and to make sure you smile.
