Advanced Driving Courses
The Moray Group runs a nine week driving course in the spring and autumn to prepare drivers for the advanced driving test. On completion of the course your driving skills will be tested by an IAM examiner who holds the Police Advanced Driving Certificate. The Moray Group has a very high success rate and welcomes all age groups, particularly anyone under 26 because they are the highest ‘at risk’ group of drivers. When qualified, 95% of members who seek insurance quotes from ‘IAM Surety’ are quoted less than their current insurer; there are also several other benefits available to members of the IAM such as: 25% off all types of AA Membership, 10% off Halfords gift vouchers, 70% discount on Garman NUVI 255WT Sat Nav, 20% off Haynes books, 15% off participating airport parking (8-15 days) and hotels.

Advanced Riding Courses
If you're interested in developing your riding skills to an advanced standard then the Moray Group motorcycle section runs a course to do just that. Ninety percent of the theory is the same as for cars, but there are some important riding techniques to learn based on the obvious characteristics of being on 2 wheels rather than 4. Due to the smaller number of biker taking this course and the need to schedule the training during the better weather months, the course is individually tailored for each biker. A flexible schedule of discussions and rides is arranged to meet the convenience of the biker and his/her Observer. However, some of the advanced driving presentations are also beneficial for bikers and attendance at these is recommended. Naturally, bikers are entitled to the same IAM discounts as drivers and IAM Surety was voted the favorite motorcycle insurance provider in the largest UK biker survey during 2008 by readers of ‘Ride’ magazine.
